Colleton River Plantation Club is just two miles from the bridge that connects the mainland to Hilton Head Island. It is 30 miles north of Savannah, GA and 90 miles south of Charleston, SC, two of the most historic and romantic cities in the South.

This location gives our members convenient access to the beaches, golf and shopping on Hilton Head and the cobblestone streets of the port city of Savannah, with its quaint shops, restaurants and festivals.

Whether you fly, drive or sail to Colleton River, we are easily accessible. Just a few hours south of Myrtle Beach and a few hours north of Florida, and with several airports to choose from, getting here is straightforward.

Many seasonal members drive to their Colleton River home in comfortable travel time along scenic routes and interstate highways.

Weather

The weather in the Lowcountry of South Carolina is pleasant throughout the year. The average annual temperature is 65F and annual precipitation is 49.4 inches. In winter, the lows can reach into the 20s, but often climb back into the 40s or 50s by late morning. August is usually the warmest month with highs in the 90s.

Hurricanes in the Lowcountry are rare, but emergency management officials have developed efficient evacuation plans and are well-prepared if a storm should threaten the area.
