A 24 hour, 7 day a week security department provides protection and security of the plantation for our members and guests maintaining a safe and crime free community.

Security guards are stationed at the main and secondary entrances to ensure that all visitors and service personnel have the proper authorization to enter.

Roving patrols monitor vehicle speeds and enforce speed limits. Home inspection is available upon request for our traveling members. An optional House Key Box Program allows the patrolmen access to homes in emergency situations.

Emergency response and first aid is also a Security Department responsibility. A significant number of the Security staff is trained and certified in both CPR and the use of the Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) that have been strategically located throughout the Plantation. It is not unusual for the Colleton River Security Department to be the first responder when an emergency does arise.

The Department oversees the Club’s Hurricane Readiness Program and maintains a Hurricane Preparation Checklist in the unlikely event that a hurricane should threaten the area.
